ESOL Coventry - Numidia Education and Training Ltd. currently offer a range of ESOL courses and qualifications in Coventry at Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3 and Level 1. These courses may be free of charge, subject to eligibility criteria. Learners will achieve a recognised qualification accredited by Pearson Edexcel.
Classes run daily for two hours (please see class times below). In addition to the tutor led daily classes, as part of the ESOL Coventry programme learners will also be provided with a learndirect account through which they can access online ESOL learning content at home, allowing the opportunity for revision and practice outside the centre.

- ESOL Entry Level 1: Daily from 9:30am - 11:30am and from 1:30pm - 3:30pm
- ESOL Entry Level 2: Daily from 11:30am - 1:30pm
- ESOL Entry Level 3: Daily from 11:30am - 1:30pm

Who are the ESOL Coventry classes for?
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses are for people who have a first language other than English and who live or work in the UK (Subject to resident status).
Why do an ESOL Coventry course?
ESOL courses are designed to help you improve your level of English to get more out of your life in the UK, and to make it easier to:
- Talk to doctors, teachers, bank or shop assistants
- Fill in administrative forms
- Understand laws and customs
- Help your children with homework
- Study or train for a qualification
- Look for employment or apply for citizenship
What will you learn?
All courses follow the National ESOL Skills for Life curriculum system and you will be taught all three skills of language learning: Speaking & Listening, Reading and Writing. You will sit an examination for each of these skills. You will be required to do homework and to study outside of class time, as this is an important part of the learning.
How will you be assessed?
ESOL courses are offered at 4 different levels to meet the specific needs of learners and the educational background at which they start. You will firstly have an interview with a tutor and take an Initial Assessment test to determine your overall level of English. You will then have a diagnostic test to see the areas of the language that you need most help with. You will then be put into the most suitable class for your level:
- Entry 1 (Basic)
- Entry 2 (Elementary)
- Entry 3 (Pre-Intermediate)
- Level 1 (Intermediate)
A tutor will decide with you which level of exam you will take.
What can you do after this course?
You can progress on to the next level. Students have the opportunity to enrol all throughout the year.
After attending ESOL classes you may wish to enrol on another course at Numidia Education and Training to gain a vocational or academic qualification.
We also offer one to one, non-accredited ESOL Coventry training sessions for learners who wish to receive tutor support outside of an ESOL qualification in Coventry. One to one ESOL teaching sessions are charged at £25.00 per hour.
