At Numidia we offer free* English and Maths Functional Skills qualifications with learndirect at a range of levels including Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2. These programmes are delivered through online learning, workshops and one to one tutorials, you may also be able to study for part of your course at home. These qualifications are ideal for improving your English and Maths Skills and our learners complete these qualifications for a range of reasons including; to improve job prospects, to apply for university or college qualifications, to progress within their employment and to help children with their homework. Our Functional skills qualifications are assessed via an online examination.
Functional Skills in Maths
These are OFQUAL approved accredited qualifications that can be achieved at both level 1 and level 2. Level 2 Functional Skills Maths is accepted by many universities as a GCSE equivalent grade A to C**.
This course incorporates learning within a wide range of curriculum areas and learners will benefit from online modules that can be accessed 24 hours a day, workshops held within our Coventry Centre and one to one tutorials. The Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths qualification is assessed via a 2 hour examination and is accredited by City & Guilds.
Functional Skills in English
These are OFQUAL approved qualifications that can be achieved at both Level 1 and Level 2 and are split into three main curriculum areas ; Speaking and Listening, Reading and writing. Learners will need to undertake an examination within all three areas in order to gain their qualification. Learning is delivered through online modules, workshops and one to one tutorials.
